YAY! And another year begins!

YAY! A New Year begins!

As with a lot of people, 2016 couldn't end soon enough for me... far too much drama and sadness for one year!

Thankfully my wonderful couples kept me sane for the most part, but I have to say I was glad when it was over.... so 1st things first HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my readers and I'm back to it tomorrow after an extended break, all ready for whatever life throws at me.

Ok, as some of you already know Steve and I are passionate about helping other small, hand crafting businesses. My quiet time of the year is his busiest and so one cold December day at a Christmas market, we got chatting to 2 others and a week before Christmas we set up HAND MADE YORKSHIRE

the website and the collective.... yeah madness I know, but hey ho, that's the way we roll lol.

Yup, that's us all right here....

BTW - Steve and I are not the pretty ones in the photo...

we like to say we're the 'experienced' ones (LOUD COUGH!)

The collective members are hand selected for their quality and dedication to their art/craft. We're intending to support, encourage and advise on all aspects of running a small business especially when you are a designer maker. It can be a lonely old world out there and we want to make sure everyone knows we are here to help. We've basically got everyone into one group as it's easier to

coach everyone in one spot rather than one at a time... and after all, this is not our full time business or income and we still have to make a living with our own businesses in order to eat :-)

Anyway, as I know a lot of my visitors to my blog are not just couples getting married and many of you are artists and craftspeople yourselves, I thought I'd introduce our new group and spread the word.

If you know anyone who makes a part time or full time living from their crafts and lives in the Yorkshire area, please pass on my email address inspiredbyscript@yahoo.co.uk  or get them to join our collective by visiting the website and clicking the link in the side bar.
